Depuis le 6 août, Cindy Sheehan mène un siège devant la résidence texane du président George Bush, à Crawford, pour réclamer le retrait des troupes américaines d’Irak. Mme Sheehan a perdu son fils de 24 ans, Casey, mécanicien dans l'armée américaine. Il a été tué en Irak en 2004. Elle refuse de quitter son campement tant que le président Bush ne l’aura pas rencontré. Des centaines de manifestants américains et étrangers sont venus soutenir Cindy Sheenan dans sa démarche. The life of a Gentle Hero, a True Patriot, an Angel of Peace has Ended !!! In Loving Memory of my Son Sergeant Patrick Ryan McCaffrey Senior. Born May 26 1970 at Stanford Hospital, Palo Alto, CA. Patrick was shot 8 times, by 3 ICDC (Iraqi Troops) that HE was training. Tuesday June 22 2004 at 11:45 am, near Balad, Iraq. Patrick enlisted after 9/11 with the 579th Engineer Battalion, from Petaluma. The 579th was part of LSA Anaconda, task force Tacoma. Patrick lived and died a true Patriot in devotion to his family, his friends, and his Country. I thank everyone for supporting our family in this time of grief. |

We must as a GROUP demand Hydrogen and other alternative fuels/power supply ... Fossil fuels are not the way! ... To a sustainable future !...We as a group need to take our heads out of the SAND ... | Do we have a life Mission? Is it about Caring, about Compassion? Or unconditional Love, selfless service... Are we respecting the rights of the Dying? What can we accomplish with unconditional Love for one another, withTolerance...and Joy? Are we forgiving with each other? Can we answer this questions without hesitation? Learning with true understanding of others, letting go of fear, and discovering self-confidence is very important. Before Birth, Being born, Living a full Life, Dying, and Life After Death. These stages are very much a part of the same Journey. When we come to understand the real purpose of Living, we can face Death not only without Fear but in Acceptance, Peace and even Serenity. This is what I have come to fully comprehend after I, myself experienced many Close encounters with Death. Among this encounters are 3 NDE’s, (Near-Death Experiences): first at age 7, then 17 and 54 years old. (My NDEs) Death is not a black hole, the "end of everything”. It is a true Spiritual Experience for which we should prepare ourselves. For the past seventeen years, I have been a volunteer and I have trained others to become volunteers at the bedside of those who are facing Death. This has given me a true understanding of the real needs of people during this ultimate transformation and transition. The process is simple and comes from the Heart . Unconditional Love, Compassion and Patience, along with total Understanding of the Process, are the ultimate ingredients of this last journey. Death is often met with fear and confusion yet it is as significant as birth itself. This is because death is the Celebration of a life lived and by meeting it on your own terms you define the value of all that you have lived and done. Our “Angelstaff” of volunteers is always ready to provide bereavement, support and resources to those who ask for assistance. We are a non-religious, non- denominational (interfaith) Service Organization. We respect each and everyone’s Beliefs regardless of Religion, Culture, Race, Age or Gender. We respect all Life. | "Journey to Peace" One Mother's Quest to Stop the Suffering of War All proceeds go to the www.Patrickmccaffreyfoundation.org 'Journey to Peace' features the personal outreach of Nadia McCaffrey. Nadia's son Patrick was killed in Iraq in June 2004. His death received national attention after Nadia invited the press to Sacramento International Airport to record images of this flag-draped coffin returning home, contravening U.S. Military policy and president Bush's ban on the filming of U.S. Soldiers' coffins returning home from Iraq. Following the death of her son, Nadia McCaffrey has become an international voice for peace and responsibility in government. In December 2004 Nadia embarked on a peace mission to the Middle East to meet with Iraqi families who have also lost loved ones in the Iraq war. These meetings between families from opposing countries at war were emotional and deeply healing for all who witnessed them. Through this film, Nadia will share that healing with all who see it and allow us to follow her on this journey to peace. About Nadia McCaffrey After her son's death, Nadia McCaffrey traveled to the Middle East with filmmaker Mark Manning. They sought answers to what causes wars and met with Iraqi mothers. Nadia explains her purpose, "I wanted to look them in the eye and share their pain." She has since traveled through Europe conducting interviews in Paris with FRANCE3 TV and radio, and ARTE CHANNELS TV (EU). In the US, she interviewed with Good Morning America, The Today's Show, The Paula Zanh Show, The Aaron Brown Show, MSNBC, CNBC, DemocracyNow! TV (twice), Morning on 2, and CNN many times. Her story has been told through documentaries, radio shows, and in magazines (such as Vanity Fair) and newspapers. She has appeared on the front page of USA TODAY (twice), and the Washington Post.
